Guardian Angel by Hidden-Rainbows Guardian Angel by Hidden-Rainbows
I am submitting this to the Train Your Brain Contest! This is one of the best contests I have seen in a long time. Tuition to go to art school would be a dream come true for me and it is something I would not be able to provide myself, so here goes nothing!

This was a painting I made for my Dad, who recently went through chemo and radiation treatment. I wanted to portray a sense of calmness, compassion, and hope in her expression. The ribbon is a symbol for neck cancer, red and white. The purpose of this piece was to give my dad the strength he needed to finish his treatment. I am happy to say he loved it and we are also donating a copy of it to the Kelowna General Hospital. I hope you like it too.

Great piece. My Dad is a cancer survivor as well. (Prostate Cancer.) So I know how stressful the whole experience can be on someone. Good to know he is okay and that he got through the treatments. :)

Awe I am very sorry to hear that. Is your Dad okay too? It is a very stressful situation... but it definitely brought us closer together as a family :)

Yeah my Dad is fine. Thanks for asking. This was some years back. Luckily my dad is the kind of person that any little thing he feels out of whack in his body, he goes straight for the doctor. So the cancer was caught in time and he has been cancer free since. And yes, it also brought us closer as a family. :)

I am so glad to hear that your dad is ok. Luckily my Dad caught it fairly early too. I will definitely be making sure I go to the doctor anytime there is something wrong too. Better safe then sorry.
